Parker’s Passion is book 6 in the Tryst Island series by Sabrina York. I love this series so much. A group of friends from Seattle rent a house on Tryst Island for the summer. It is accessible only by ferry, and they ride over on holidays and the weekends for some fun and sun. Think The Hampton’s of Seattle. Each book can be read as a standalone, and the really fun thing about the last three books is that they are going on simultaneously. You can read them in any order, but if you go back, you can pick up on other relationships growing and hook ups happening while you are reading about your main couple. I just LOVE it!!

Parker is one of my favorite characters. I say one, because one of the other characters has already taken up residence in the #1 spot! You have to read the series to meet Ash from Heart of Ash, but he is my all time Fave from the series. (he is an ass, no one writes an adorable ass that you can love like Sabrina York!!) but, back to Parker.... Parker has some issues, he has been mistreated in the past, and he is determined that love is not for him. Aren’t they all, ladies? But he hasn’t met Kaitlin yet. Kaitlin is an empath and she can feel what other people feel. The two have a lot in common, they have both cut themselves off from other people. Parker, because he has scars from his past, and Kaitlin because she can’t stand to be around other people and feel their emotions.

I loved both of these characters, Parker and Kaitlin had both stood out from the previous Tryst Island novels, and I thought I sensed them with something brewing. Of course, I’m no empath. I loved how hardcore Parker tried to be, but he was just so vulnerable. Kaitlin is struggling with a past event that has left her scared to be in a relationship. She has resigned herself to helping her friends find love and to be alone forever. She is a sweetheart that works with abused women helping them escape abusive husbands and boyfriends. Parker is a divorce attorney. They seem to be complete opposites in every way. Only.... They are perfect for each other. When Kaitlin lays her hand on Parker, all of the stress leaves him, and it even calms his chronic migraines. Parker is the only person that Kaitlin can be around without feeling the constant pull of their emotions.

The book is filled with several plot twists that will leave you intrigued. You also get to see the other Tryst Island couples and meet a brand new character that I hope will get his own book soon!

Of course, if you can’t tell from all of the gushing, I loved this book, and I give it 5 stars from The To Be Read List!
