The Last Good Knight by Tiffany Reisz: Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway

 The Last Good Night Knight
A serial novel by Tiffany Reisz

I can't even tell you how I lusted after this series. I saw it previewed on Netgalley, and I know all of my friends got tired of hearing me talk about it. But if you have ever followed any of my reviews, you know what a HUGE Tiffany Reisz fan I am. Her Original Sinners series is one of my all time favorites. I had to get my grubby little paws on this book. Of course, the people at Netgalley and Harlequin conspired against me. Luckily I managed to weasel my way into this tour. I am so weaselly that way.

These books are set in the time frame when Nora and Soren are apart, several years before The Siren takes place. It can be read as a standalone series. But I can't promise that my review will be spoiler free from the events that take place in the The Original Sinners series, so please bare that in mind when you read it. Also, if you haven't read the Original Sinners Series, Oh my gosh, what are you waiting for?? Buy it and read it, NOW! It is amazing, and one of the best series I have ever read.

I'm going to post the synopsis for each book, and then review the series as a whole, because each book leaves off in a little cliffhanger, and you won't be able to buy just one book. You have to read the entire series. But really, this is one serial that is worth EVERY PENNY you will pay for it.

Part I: Scars and Stripes

It's lust at first sight when Mistress Nora encounters a sexy newcomer to The 8th Circle. She's happy for the distraction, since she left her lover, Søren, but her session with Lance is cut short when her boss, Kingsley Edge, reveals they're all in danger….

Part II: Sore Spots

With a potential stalker on the loose, Kingsley hires Lance as Nora's bodyguard, but stipulates no sex while he's on duty. Frustrated by the ex-SEAL's noble chivalry, Nora is driven to seek release with the one man she's trying to forget….

Part III: The Games Destiny Plays

Shocked to see Nora's bruises, Lance is furious that she put herself in danger and demands to know where she got them. As Nora confesses her true nature, she's equally shocked to learn that Lance has some secrets of his own, drawing them together despite Kingsley's orders….

Part IV: Fit to Be Tied

With her feelings for Lance warring with her recent encounter with Søren, Nora returns to Lance's bed and finds herself toying with the idea of…toying with him on a permanent basis. But after she gets a glimpse into his personal angst, Nora realizes she has the power to rescue this white knight….

Part V: The Last Good Night

Now that the perpetrator has been apprehended, Nora sadly acknowledges she doesn't need a bodyguard anymore. She adores Lance and wants to keep him but is faced with a dilemmaâ€"if she uses her connections to help Lance, she'll have to give him up forever…

This is just one of those books that has you going in all different directions. You have so many elements going all at once. If you haven’t read the Original Sinners Series you don’t have a solid foundation to understand these characters. But if you have, then  you already know and love them. I’m thinking the target audience for this series is the hardcore fans of Nora, Soren, and Kingsley, who already love them and just want MORE of them. Well, let me tell you, you get it, in spades.

Plus, you get a super hot ex-Navy Seal thrown into the mix. Yeah, you heard me. A hot, ex Navy Seal. Um, did I mention he is submissive? Yeah, a submissive Navy Seal for Mistress Nora. This story is a little bittersweet for me, because I am a hardcore Soren fan. I can’t help it. I have friends, and a really hot husband who HATES Soren. They are always trying to convince me how horrible he is, but I can’t help it. I ADORE him. I think he loves Nora. I think these people are just kind of kinky and show their love in a really weird way. Do I want to live that kind of lifestyle? No way, but it is neat to see how they are so understanding and open and willing to accept what one another needs. (I’m totally getting off track here, with the series and Tiffany Reisz, but that is what happens when I get started)

So, Nora has left her longtime Dominant, Soren, and becomes one of the most sought after Mistresses in the underground world. Men call from all over to worship at her boots. (I so want some of those boots!) Kingsley is her boss, basically a pimp, only Nora is a Mistress, not a prostitute. She doesn’t have sex with clients. She just Dominates them. Enter Lance, in a twist of fate/destiny. Nora has never wanted anything permanent since leaving Soren. She loves her freedom. Only Lance is tempting. He is everything she wants, and he is understanding of her lifestyle. I never thought I would like someone else for Nora after Soren (well, and Wesley, I did have a soft spot for little vanilla Wesley), but Lance is a real heartbreaker. He is strong and protective and yet totally submissive. Just what Nora needs at this stage in her life.

There is a little bit of action involved, in a psycho targeting Mistresses in the underground. Lance has to step up and protect Mistress Nora. There is also an unexpected twist to the story, of a personal nature from Lance. Something from his past that makes his relationship with Nora more difficult, if not impossible.

Overall, this is another amazing story from Tiffany. They are all short and sexy. They can be read as standalone, but if you are already a fan of The Original Sinners, you will be knocked of your feet by the continuing story of these characters. I have to give it five stars, because I want to go back and read it again. I am already craving the NEXT Tiffany Reisz book!

Tiffany Reisz lives with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has been arrested twice.

When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).

If she couldn’t write, she would die.
