He smelled so
damn good, clean with a hint of masculine sweat, a temptation I couldn’t resist. Beyond my control, my tongue darted out of my
mouth and covertly tasted the section of chest exposed above his tank. Oh God, he tasted even better than he
smelled, like a chocolate-covered pretzel—sweet, salty, and addictive.
“Did you
just…lick me?” he asked, sounding both shocked and amused.
“I have no
idea what you’re talking about.”
“You licked
me. I felt it,” he accused, but I
noticed he wasn’t complaining.
“Your
imagination is running wild because of all the workout endorphins.”
“It wasn’t a
complaint. In fact, you’re welcome to
have another taste.”
“Fine…I licked
you. But it was an involuntary
reflex—hot guy, exposed chest…you know how it is.”
“Mmm,” he
replied, his eyes darkening with lust.
“I am familiar with the temptation, but it’s not a hot guy who’s testing

(If you haven’t read Only For You, I recommend you read it first. This is Sam and Griffin’s story and begins
where Only For you left off.)
Hands down the
BEST part of this book is Griffin! I
loved him in Only For You, but fell deeply, madly in love this time
around. Sam is picking up the pieces
after the horrific event she survived.
She needs people to support her and finds more than that in
Griffin. Griffin is there to help her
move on and more importantly HEAL.
Genna couldn’t
have written a more perfect hero. You
don’t fall in love with Griffin because he’s an uber controlling alpha male in
a 3 piece suit with issues stemming from childhood. No, he’s a normal guy with a heart of gold
that just overflows with the desire to protect Sam. And, oh yeah, he just happens to be HOT,
smart, and ripped. There’s just so much
to love about him. Griffin doesn’t see
Sam as a victim, he sees her as the girl he’s wanted since the first time he
laid eyes on her over a year ago when she walked into the bar. Griffin is more than willing to be patient. He doesn’t push her in the least and no amount
of time is too long for him to wait for Sam to be ready. Griffin will seriously awe you with his
ability to make Sam feel safe. He’s a
great listener and the advice he gives rivals that of any shrink. But, Griffin isn’t without faults; and, he’s
afraid of what Sam might do once she discovers what they are. 
Genna takes a
difficult and sensitive subject and does it justice. I love that she doesn’t portray Sam as a
helpless victim. Yes, she had
insecurities and rightfully so, but she never had a pity party in her
honor. She was strong yet vulnerable,
open yet cautious.
Pieces For You
had me crying, cheering, breathless, fuming, relieved, and laughing. I have to say I loved Griffin and Sam’s story. It’s emotional, difficult, and sweet. I cannot wait of the next book in the series,
Temper For You, which focuses on Meg who we meet in Pieces For You.

During her 15
years in the corporate world, Genna, inspired by her love of reading,
fantasized about penning her own stories. Encouraged by her favorite authors,
many of whom are indie writers and self-published, she committed to pursuing
her aspirations of writing her own novels.
Genna was
raised in Long Island, New York, where she still resides, surrounded by the
most amazing family and friends. Married to a wonderful man, who patiently
tolerates her ramblings about whichever book she is currently working on, even
feigning interest relatively convincingly! Genna is blessed with two little
boys who do their best to thwart mommy's writing time with their hilarious
antics and charming extrapolations.
