The Rocker That Holds Her by Terri Anne Browning Blog Tour and Review

I had big dreams of how I wanted my life. Becoming a rock star was all I wanted. It would solve so many of my problems. With the money that I would make I was going to take care of my mom, get her out of the hell hole we had been living in all my life. Having your dreams come true isn’t something that many
people get to accomplish in life. I did, and I loved it.

For about a minute…

It’s funny how when you think you have everything you could possible every want, your dreams change. Mine did without my even realizing it. Then I opened my eyes and saw that everything I ever wanted was standing in front of me.

From the first day I set eyes on Emmie she became a part of me. The guys and I spent years watching over her, caring for her… Loving her. Then without my realizing it my love for her changed. I found myself aching for her, wanting her in a way that a guy like me had no right to want her. My love and need for Emmie became an all-consuming ache that I was helpless to fight against.

Would she ever open those big green eyes and see me as anything but a friend?

“You are the sexiest woman I have ever met. You don’t need more than a pair of ripped jeans, a tattered old shirt, and simple underwear to make me want to strip you with my teeth.”

I happened upon The Rocker That Holds Me not long after it first released. The only thing I didn’t love about it was that I felt like I didn’t get enough. Well, Terri Anne certainly made up for that here! I will start this review stating that 8 out of 10 times I really am not fond of stories re-told from the other POV. Most of the time it feels like the exact same story being rehashed and I end up feeling cheated out of my money. TRTHH breaks from tradition! Not only is it an insight into Nik’s POV during TRTHM, but it spans the entire series.
Like with each of the books it begins with a story of their childhood, though this is a bit different. We are shown the very first time Emmie meets the boys, how their relationship developed, and all that they went through to stay together. While seeing some of the events from the first book in Nik’s perspective is fun the real magic of this book is that though it’s a couple we’ve seen grow through the books of others this story is fresh and new.
Who wouldn’t melt when the rough and tough lead singer of Demon’s Wings looks at this everyday girl and tells her how he feels.

“I love you, Em. With everything inside of me, I love you. You are my favorite dream come to life and I never want to let you go.” I brushed my lips over her eyes, wiping her tears away with my tongue. “I need you to breathe. You keep the world afloat when everything else is going insane.”

Another benefit of getting Nik’s POV is that we get more info on the background characters. I know that Terri Anne is planning on doing a series about the guys from Otherworld, so getting to know Ax better was good. I walked away from this loving him more. We all know Emmie and Nik’s story, but this fresh vision is something that must be experienced. 5+ stars! Can’t wait to see the next thing that Ms. Browning has to offer!

Terri Anne Browning

Hated school and reading until her aunt handed over her first romance novel at the age of twelve, as crazy aunts tend to do. It gave her a passion for the written word that has only increased over the years. At sixteen she started writing her own novellas, forcing her sister to be her one woman fan club. Now she has a few more fans and a lot more passion for writing. Reese: A Safe Haven Novella was her first Indie published book. The Rocker That Holds Me changed the tables and kicked off The Rocker… series featuring the sinfully delicious members of Demon’s Wings. Terri Anne lives just outside of Birmingham, AL with her husband and three children.
